We have a very experienced Environmental Officer and geographic information systems (GIS) consultant who is available by appointment to discuss your requirements. We can provide you with expert advice and solutions on a range of environmental issues.

Hohepa Homes is the largest provider for people with special needs in Canterbury and has 42 properties that we work on regularly. We consider the residents’ sensitivities and communicate with them closely to ensure minimal disruption. We use electric equipment at all times, our chipper is sound deadened, and we only use it if we absolutely have to. Our team uses Bluetooth helmet-to-helmet communication to allow safe, low-volume communication, and optimal safety.  

Christchurch Adventure Park, came to us to help them design and implement a world-class risk management system in a forest that regularly experiences high winds. We designed and installed the first park of its kind in New Zealand for them. It has bracing systems for whole clusters of 40-metre trees and an anemometer-based alarm system to manage risk and let us know when conditions change. We continue to manage their vegetation and monitor the system we created, ensuring safe, challenging high-flying fun for their customers.

We help the Department of Conservation and Historic Places Trust on Quail Island. The endangered white-flippered penguin makes its home there, along with other endangered endemic species who are struggling to reproduce and bounce back from their fragile statuses. DOC trusts THE TREE PEOPLE to respect the cultural history of the island and provide safe public access while using our environmental experience to ensure minimal impact on these special wildlife species. We guard the intrinsic value of this exceptional island, and we are proud to continue our work there.
